“Dolls’ Day Out” Mid-Morning Tea set for February 16 at the John and Annie Glenn Historic Site NEW CONCORD, OH Girls of all ages - daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, and granddaughters - are invited to celebrate the love of their childhoods on Saturday, February 16, at a “Dolls’ Day Out” mid-morning tea. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the John and Annie Glenn Historic Site in New Concord. Those attending are invited to bring any well-loved doll - Mollie, Kirsten, Samantha, and others to the tea and will be offered a chance to share that doll’s story. Admission for the tea is $15.00 and proceeds from the event will support the educational activities of the Historic Site. The day’s program is most suitable for children eight years of age or older. Guests will be greeted by Mrs. Clara Glenn, portrayed by regional historian and museum co-founder, Dr. Lorle Porter, who will also take guests through the Glenn home after the tea. Set in 1944, the living history depicted at the John and Annie Glenn Historic Site features the stories of self-reliance, sacrifice, compassion and cooperation that helped to win World War II on the Home Front.
